Does your business create technical specifications for new constructions, retrofits, or building addition projects for energy efficient PUBLIC property? Example companies may include Architecture or Engineering companies.

Only include properties for which the business possesses a full set of drawings including mechanical specifications.

Before continuing, it is recommended to contact the public/government owner of each property accounted for above and ask the proper authority if they would be willing to agree to transfer their unused 179D deduction to your business. If not, do not include the building in the number above. Following this recommendation will result in a more accurate proposal and less time wasted.

Does the business own any COMMERCIAL buildings in the U.S. placed into service after December 31, 2005 that have not received the 179D energy deduction?
