Scope
Applies to everyone. Incorporated into the Terms.
This Acceptable Use Policy governs everyone's use of Rbundle — Buyers, Providers and visitors alike — and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. We may change it at any time. If you violate it, we may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice.
If you find a Request, a Proposal or an organisation on the Marketplace that violates this policy, please report it. Give us as much detail as you can, including the code on the Request or engagement if you have it.
Illegal, harmful or offensive use
The obvious ones, stated plainly.
You may not use the Marketplace, or encourage or help anyone else to use it, for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, infringing or offensive purpose, or to transmit, store or make available content of that kind. This includes:
- Illegal, harmful or fraudulent activity, including fraudulent goods, services or schemes, get-rich-quick schemes, Ponzi and pyramid schemes, phishing and pharming.
- Content that infringes anyone's intellectual property rights.
- Content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, invasive of privacy or otherwise objectionable.
- Malware and anything else designed to damage, interfere with, intercept or expropriate a system, program or data — viruses, worms, trojans, time bombs and the like.
- Content that sexualises or endangers a child, which we report to the authorities rather than merely remove.
Anonymity and the integrity of the marketplace
The rules specific to how this marketplace works.
Because the marketplace depends on anonymity and on honest credentials, the following are prohibited:
- Attempting to identify a Buyer outside the selection flow, or to combine information across Requests to do so.
- Using information from a Request for any purpose other than preparing a Proposal for that Request, or disclosing a Request's contents to anyone who does not need them for that purpose.
- Misrepresenting your identity, your firm, your licences, your insurance or your qualifications, or proposing on work you are not licensed or permitted to perform.
- Scraping the Marketplace, or accessing it other than through the interfaces we provide.
- Circumventing routing, Verification or the fee terms — including soliciting a Buyer to take an engagement off the Marketplace in order to avoid them.
- Submitting a Request you do not intend to engage on, or a Proposal you do not intend to honour.
- Contacting a Buyer through any channel other than the one the Marketplace provides.
Prohibited businesses
Carried forward from the prior policy. Counsel should trim this to what a professional-services marketplace needs.
By registering, you confirm that you will not use Rbundle in connection with the following:
- Sale of virtual currency, stored value or credits redeemable outside the issuing seller, or sale of verified online identities.
- Counterfeit or novelty identification documents.
- Short-term cash advances and quick-loan services.
- Telemarketing sales or solicitation of donations processed through our forms.
- Exchange of gift cards for cash or for other gift cards.
- Credit repair and get-out-of-debt schemes.
- In-game or virtual-world currency and hacks, except by the operator of that world.
- Sale of social-media activity — followers, likes, views and the like.
- Personal shopper and mystery shopper services.
- Adult connection, escort, mail-order-spouse and international marriage-brokerage services.
- Employment applications that require an applicant to pay a fee.
CONFIRM with counsel: this list came from a 2022 policy written for a general form-building product. Several entries have no plausible application to a professional-services marketplace, and the list may read as arbitrary. Trim it to the categories that matter here and add any that a services marketplace actually needs.
Security
Do not probe, break or borrow the Marketplace.
You may not interfere with the normal operation of the Marketplace or attempt to access it other than through the interfaces and instructions we provide. In particular, you may not probe, scan or test its vulnerability, or breach or attempt to breach any security or authentication measure.
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, tell us at info@rbundle.com rather than exploiting it or publishing it.
CONFIRM before launch: whether to publish a coordinated vulnerability disclosure policy and a safe-harbour commitment for good-faith researchers.
Email and messaging
Do not use Rbundle to send spam.
You may not use Rbundle to send unsolicited bulk email or anything that violates the CAN-SPAM Act. You may not use harvested, purchased or rented mailing lists in connection with the Marketplace, and you may not use contact information obtained through the Marketplace — including a Buyer's details received at selection — for marketing unrelated to that engagement.
Enforcement
We may act on a suspected violation, not only a proven one.
We may take whatever lawful action we consider appropriate in response to an actual or suspected violation, including removing content, suspending or terminating access, withdrawing Proposals, cancelling Requests, and reporting the matter to the authorities.
